Almost same is the story of 10 Paise Aluminium Coin also. This coin first came in to the existence in the year of 1971 prior to that Cupro-Nickel and Aluminium-Bronze issue of this denomination were in circulation.

A bold numeric "10" surrounded by a dotted circle of beads and wreath around the periphery. Left side written "पैसे" whereas in Right written "PAISE" followed by Year of Mintage with Mint Marks at bottom.

This 10 Paise Aluminium Coin was subsequently followed by its smaller version also, which was later introduced in the year 1983 which continued minting and circulation up to 1993. This coin was significantly smaller than the earlier version of it. Perhaps, cost cutting was the reason to reduce the size of this coin. But, since the worth and value was the same so it moved well in the circulation and enjoyed good presence in the market. Details of this coin is like below :

These 10 Paise Aluminium Coins both the large and small remained quite active in circulation even after suspension of their mintage. Since, after withdrawal of these aluminium coins another FSS Coin of the same value 10 Paise came into the existence so, both these coins continued to rally in the market along with the latest and newer 10 Paise FSS coin.
And this is time to discuss about the 20 Paise Aluminium Coins which was the last issue in the era of Aluminium Coins in the history of Indian Coins. This Coin was introduced in the year 1982 and ended its mintage in 1997. This coin was also a successor of its previous version of Aluminium-Bronze version. So, had a pretty good acceptance for this denomination. Details of the coin is mentioned below :

So, after ruling for more than three decades in Indian economy these Aluminium Coins are out of circulation and are no more used for any transactions. We can say that The Golden Era of Aluminium Coins have gone behind the shadow of history. Now, these coins are just there for remembrance only and have lost their worth in our day to day transactions. But, their numismatic value have gone quite up and people interested in collecting old coins and banknotes will continue to run before these coins in order to add it in their collections.
